American/slang =ought to=should..........for those that don't knowwink tongue

If you are a wise man then post it here so females will know if you like this song and agree with it, so yes you do agree with this song, or no you don't agree with it....................................................shoot!tongue

I could've been workin' overtime
Or at home tryin' to make that truck run right
Instead of wadin' out in that stream
All day long barely catchin' a thing
Just me and dad
I'm glad he talked me in to that

(Chorus)
It was time well wasted
And there's no way I trade a few more dollars in my pocket I could've spent
For a day I'll never forget
No, I didn't get a thing done
But I sure soaked up every minute of the memory we were makin'
And I count it all as time well wasted

Those leaves were a foot deep in the yard
And 'wash me' was written all over the car
But watchin' movies all day with you
Wasn't on my list of things to do
But we laid on that couch
Girl, we never left the house

(Chorus)
It was time well wasted
And there's no way I trade a few more things that I could've crossed off my list
For a day I'll never forget
No, I didn't get a thing done
But I sure soaked up every minute of the memory we were makin'
And I count it all as time well wasted

(Bridge)
This world spins too fast if you let it
There's always one more thing to do
But lookin' back I never have regretted
Takin' off early or callin' in sick
Or lovin' away a Sunday afternoon

(Chorus)
It was time well wasted
And there's no way I trade a few more dollars or things crossed off my list
For a day I'll never forget
No I didn't get a thing done
But I sure soaked up every minute of the memory we were makin'
And I count it all as time well wasted

I count it all as time well wasted

For my englishman, you do everything for me babe, oh yessss

Once I thought that love was something I could never do
Never knew that I could feel this much
But this yearning in the deep part of my heart for you
Is more than a reaction to your touch

It's a perfect passion
And I can't get enough

The way you look, the way you laugh, the way you love with all you have
There aint nothing about you that don't do something for me

The way you kiss, the way you cry, the way you move when you walk by
There aint nothing about you that don't do something for me

In my life I've been hammered by some heavy blows
That never knocked me off my feet
All you gotta do is smile at me and down I go
And baby it's no mystery
Why I surrender
Girl you've got everything

The way you look, the way you laugh, the way you love with all you have
There aint nothing about you that don't do something for me
The way you kiss, the way you cry, the way you move when you walk by
There aint nothing about you that don't do something for me

I love your attitude, your rose tattoo, your every thought
Your smile, your lips
And girl the list goes on and on and on

The way you you look, the way you laugh, the way you love with all you have
There aint nothing about you that don't do something for me
The way you kiss, the way you cry, the way you move when you walk by
There aint nothing about you that don't do something for me
The way you look, the way you laugh, the way you love with all you have
There aint nothing about you that don't do something for me

Your dance, your drive, you make me feel alive
The way you talk the way you tease, by now I think you see
There aint nothing about you that don't do something for me..........

ENGLISHMAN!!! for you from yourROCKrose lips

I think the opposite of the first song...that he is a man who knows that time is worth a lot more than money and spending it with the people you love is more important than the daily grind....where some people would see it as wasting time doing the things he did with the people he loves....he sees it as something special to make memories by.....wine

ohhh paddy paddy paddy, see if you cannot find this song, you are obviously new to the age country songs we are in which is cool so am i, still learning, check this song out, it is called mr.jones and me

talk about a grey guitar? e danged gadds!

Counting Crows

I was down at the New Amsterdam staring at this yellow-haired girl
Mr. Jones strikes up a conversation with this black-haired flamenco dancer
She dances while his father plays guitar
She's suddenly beautiful
We all want something beautiful
I wish I was beautiful
So come dance this silence down through the morning
Cut Maria! Show me some of them Spanish dances
Pass me a bottle, Mr. Jones
Believe in me
Help me believe in anything
I want to be someone who believes

song is called mr.jones

Mr. Jones and me tell each other fairy tales
Stare at the beautiful women
"She's looking at you. Ah, no, no, she's looking at me."
Smiling in the bright lights
Coming through in stereo
When everybody loves you, you can never be lonely

I will paint my picture
Paint myself in blue and red and black and gray
All of the beautiful colors are very very meaningful
Grey is my favorite color
I felt so symbolic yesterday
If I knew Picasso
I would buy myself a gray guitar and play

Mr. Jones and me look into the future
Stare at the beautiful women
"She's looking at you.
Uh, I don't think so. She's looking at me."
Standing in the spotlight
I bought myself a gray guitar
When everybody loves me, I will never be lonely

I want to be a lion
Everybody wants to pass as cats
We all want to be big big stars, but we got different reasons for thatBelieve in me because I don't believe in anything
and I want to be someone to believe

Mr. Jones and me stumbling through the barrio
Yeah we stare at the beautiful women
"She's perfect for you, Man, there's got to be somebody for me."
I want to be Bob Dylan
Mr. Jones wishes he was someone just a little more funky
When everybody loves you, son, that's just about as funky as you can be

Mr. Jones and me staring at the video
When I look at the television, I want to see me staring right back at me
We all want to be big stars, but we don't know why and we don't know how
But when everybody loves me, I'm going to be just about as happy as can be
Mr. Jones and me, we're gonna be big stars..
lips rose

Irish lass and hugz, I assure you, I take the time to fish. Fly fishing parrallels life in so many ways that I think it is life itself. When my son was about 12 I taught him to fish. I didn't have much time to fish. I spent all my time untangling his lines. I had to carry the gear so he could always run ahead. I was young then and the gear light. I didn't mind. That was alot of years ago. He progressed into an fine fisherman. The student supassed the master. I still have enough good days that he can say "the ole man can still fish" am am thankfull for it. He is now my better. We were walking out of a small pond not long ago. I tripped over a log I stepped over for 20 years. My steps are not as light as they once were I suppose. I fell and dropped my rods, cutting my forehead a bit . He turned, came back, helped me up and wiped the blood from my forhead saying " you'll be alright. I'll carry your rods. let's go. it'll be dark soon." I relized then that things had come full circle. I don't pretend to know much but I take the time to fly fish. If that's wisdom than I'm a wise man. I live on a river because it'd where I belong.

"I'd rather go fishing then go to heaven" (Flyrod Crosby, perhaps the greatest fly fisher of all time and a women by the way.) That's G.D. right.
I'd like to tell you a little more but i'm having a little trouble seeing the screen. You understand.
