Maybe you should ask to meet him somewhere for coffee and see how it goes from there. I do believe it is possible, my ex-husband came back six years after we where divorced and asked if I would marry him again. Sometimes people don't realize what they have until they have lost it. Needless to say I said no he was really horrible to me during the divorce.
Remeber none of us are mind readers so if you really like this man, let him know, maybe it could be the start of something grand for the both of you.
