solitare: I too have wondered at this seemingly wanton deterioration of so many ,actually both males and females for years... I've met old acquaintances and some friends that I haven't seen in any number of years and many were basically unrecognizable. Same with photos; totally non nonplussed in many instances between appearances and actual age...I simply do not understand it and consign the overall down hill slide and in some cases avalanches to 'genetics' but then again, genetics do not result in becoming or appearing like some slovenly cave dweller especially when they are 'well off' money wise and can at the very least 'keep up appearances' for both themselves and for those who do care about them.
