Well my friends, what can I say? We've all had the emotionally devastating experience of being rejected by someone we felt very attracted to before But I think my recent experience is something most of us could learn from - because it was a first for me and was definitely something that could only have arisen from e-dating. The person I'm refering to was a girl I was chatting to on this site, someone whom I felt very comfortable with & I beleive so did she... We were both completely convinced we had a very good thing going even before we had met! We had been chatting via email, txt & phone daily for 3 weeks before we met. In fact we were so convinced we were "right" for each other that we even decided to remove our profiles before the date as a gesture of comitment to each other.
As for the date - it went fabulously well! One of the best I had ever had!
But as you can tell from this thread the feeling wasn't mutual after the date, because I'm sorry to say, I was dumped So my advice to all you singles out there - there is no substitute for the real deal! You have to meet the person to be sure if it's right or not... This was not the 1st date I was on and it hopefully won't be the last, but one things for sure - I'll never be fooled into thinking you can get to know someone well enough just by chatting...

sorry to hear that hotashell,its always hard when you like someone,but if the feeling wasnt mutual do you not think it was better that she told you now rather than later?

ahhh sorry to hear about that but you learn from it.. Please dont put all of the girls in the same box as her. I can tell you one thing its her loss and some other girls gain

Yes I'm glad she told me now - and I accept it, will move on... But it's not a pleasant experience:( Will be a while before I can feel comfortable enough to go on another date...

at least you can accept it and aint bein petty enough to name and shame her, fair play to you,,,, i understand it aint a pleasant experience but its just another one in the dating game eh? As noodles said,,,chin up and dont give up hope
