I've been reading profiles and happened upon this group and decided to join and see if I can learn from you all. I've been having an increasingly difficult time with loneliness lately. I'm 54 years old and I'm feeling like my entire life has been for nothing. And that I will never experience loving another, or being loved by another ever again..

I'm trying to find a silver lining in that somewhere.. all I can come up with is the sad fact that I don't have to worry about being crushed due to a relationship if I don't have one... That is a pathetic way of looking at my situation. It's just that it is all I can come up with that has a slightest bit of positive to it.

I hope you all are doing well and had a wonderful Labor day weekend.

Thank you for reading.

There maybe some lonely older folks on here, but they will never reach out.
I think just signing onto CS reading what people wrote give them some kind of inclusion.

Most may have lost the art to communicate, and are stuck in their ways.

I will not tell you to go out in public to meet people or join a fellowship group, everyone will do what makes them comfortable. The only true thing is if what you're doing is not working, then it's time to make a change.

Sometimes changes are hard, but we all have to make an effort to reach that happy place. wave
