I've begun to wonder if online dating is any more effective than those agencies which charge an exorbitant fee just to list with them. It's great that there are free sites such as this one - but are others find they aren't working? And if not, what is the reason?

I've found so far that online dating is not terribly helpful but I guess it depends on what your looking for.
There are some dating sites where you can send one message to hundreds of people which I think defeats the purpose of truly getting to know each other as individuals.
I've also found that many people write what they wish for in a relationship but do not actually have the time or space in their life for one.
Well that's my beef for the day
