Tony Montana has to be the nastiest, lowest, dirtiest crime boss ever put onto celluloid. He may have climbed the ladder of wealth but the gutter is never far behind him and his bad taste in decor and his low manners are testament to that. Despite this men love the guy, why? well for a start hes portrayed by Pacino and show me a guy who doesnt admire this great actor. Secondly, his dialogue, the script has some of the most memorable lines from any film from the 80s, foul mouthed, obscene but utterly quotable.

This is the film in which crime and its protagonists came of age, oh yeah we had the godfathers before that but there was still something slightly sterile about these guys who barely uttered a swearword, now we had a guy who would not only kill you but would tell you to go F**K yourself at the same time.

Pacino literally spits his dialogue (look at the saliva fly) and takes this nasty man to the extreme, we arent encouraged to admire him as a person, but man we would all love to have his drive and ambition.

Its the movie that gave the crime film a much needed shot in the arm and is still to be bettered, nasty...very nasty but boy is it great.

"Amigo, the only thing in this world that gives orders is balls. Balls. You got that?"
