This movie was based on a true story, except the owner of the dog was a Japanese man. The Akita actually returned every day to wait for his master until the dog himself died. It's a great story that dogs can teach we humans what true, unconditional love is all about. For, if love is conditional, then it's not genuine love at all.

This is a wonderful story of a dog's never-ending devotion to his master. I love movies made from true life stories. teddybear
