My God... Simply AMAZING...all concert, each song, each musician like a big and perfect family on stage... The Boss, is THE BOSS. I really love all concert, but "Jesse James", always make me feel so happy... wow, I love that Banjo. "American land", "this little light of mine", "Growin' Up", "Open All Night","Highway Patrolman", "Erie canal", "Bobby Jean"... A little touch of everything you can to find in this special work: Folk, Country, Rock,... but mainly a mature way to present The Best Side of American Identity to us: The Rest of the world... The Concept of union, in spite of many years on the skin.. the pianist,(today dead), fighting with class against the Cancer... "I play a little piano", and I know how difficult is to play a percussion instrument if your health is not "OK"... because you have to mark the rhythm and at the same time to connect all musicians around the same harmony, the same melodic idea... and Bruce... the rock star show me something here...This Bruce is not playing with his musicians, he's playing with friends, with masters... is good to be old. When you are young, IMAGE it's everything. But when you are old, you are a perfectionist of feelings, a survivor... a winner. the battle of youth, it's over,.... Your battle against yourself is finished, and you are in the glory, in charge of your own road, and you know very, very well, how important is to be brave to say This is who I am, my soul is shinning like a gold,I can to see my future without fears, I don't need to hide my heart... I'm on the top of my life, and just want to enjoy it until the end...with my family, and friends... and you.... you can to enjoy this magic completely free,... "be my guest". To me, this is the message or treasure of this concert in Dublin. Without the brilliant disguise from 80's, the second step after "Mary's place live in barcelona"... so coherent.

About this Music

Bruce Springsteen With The Sessions Band Live in Dublin' features 23 songs drawn from the band's performances in Dublin, Ireland at The Point on November 17, 18 and 19, 2006. Songs include fan favorites from 'The Seeger Sessions,' radical interpretations from the Springsteen songbook and rare songs appearing for the first time on any Springsteen release. This Blu-ray Disc captures the band during the finale of its multi-leg 2006 tour.

Springsteen's longtime manager Jon Landau said, "'Live in Dublin' charts the development of a band from an informal gathering in Bruce's living room to an onstage powerhouse. It also documents the growth in Bruce's vision of American music; it includes folk music, blues, Dixieland, country, swing, gospel, rock, down to and including his own writing. It's all performed with Bruce's classic energy and focus. I think it's some of the finest music he's ever made."

The Blu-ray Disc captures the band during the finale of its multi-leg 2006 tour. The Word Magazine (UK) said of a concert on this tour, "I have never, make that NEVER, seen a show better than the one mounted by Bruce Springsteen and his band at Wembley Arena on Saturday, November 11, 2006." The Sunday Business Post Agenda (UK), in a 5 star review, said, "During the concert's numerous high points, the crowd was ecstatic and Springsteen was the preacher, spreading a welcome message: We're open all night."

Bruce Springsteen with The Sessions Band's tour last year prompted other incredible reviews. "Sometime, somewhere, a more dramatic and exhilarating confluence of music with moment may have existed... But in nearly 40 years of concert-going, I haven't witnessed one," said LA Times. The Washington Post declared, "It was the best live show I've seen in at least five years. (And I've seen a few.)" Meanwhile, The Independent (UK), said, "It's been an astonishingly rich evening." The Observer (UK) proclaimed, "Springsteen and the Seeger Session band were an inspiring triumph.
