steve6610: Hi , From what I know President Rajapaksha seems to have done a reasonable job in attempting to stabilise the country
But with the unfortunate civil war the country has had for so long General Foneska may get support because of the victory over the Tamil Tigers.
I suppose having seen what has happened in other countries where a military figure has taken power ( Fiji) maybe the President would still be the best choice for the country to prosper

hmmm....I see the real trend in sri lanka for the presidential election. But I just want to know the ideas of the international community about Sri Lanka and the presidential election. That's why I put this poll. Thanks Buddy for expressing your ideas.
