Well, I wouldn't be one. Compared to a Blue Chip company CEO, a politician makes peanuts. Moreover, a politician has to pander to all the lobby groups and constituents while trying to balance the national or regional interest. They are virtually on call 18 hours a day and have to watch every word they say, for fear of being misinterpreted by the media and having to answer for every possible extrapolation based on a statement.
Imagine trying to implement policy where one has to keep the business sector happy in order to maintain a healthy economy, without alienating the workers, while trying to please environmentalists.
Why are you all so sceptic about politicians... Me, for example, love listening to fairy- tales I am told again and again trouble starts when fairy- tales turn into Hitchock´s bedtime stories
Over here in the U.K., the only man to ever enter parliament with honest intentions was Guy Fawlkes and that was the Gunpowder Plot of 1605 to blow it up!!!
