I love to write too and enjoy reading when I am not being forced to read text books-I have a lot of article ideas that I want to write, but everytime I try to start-nothing...everything escapes me and I have yet to write an article...although it would be for me-I am not yet fortunate enough to write for someone and be paid for it. If I were you, I'd just set time aside-even if it's just 30 minutes-daily and sit there and just start writing whatever comes out of your head...It may have nothing to do with your book idea, but it could lead into it. I have been told that sometimes the ending comes before the journey...so just hang in there and write whenever you can. I carry paper/pen with me at all times so if I have a thought, I can write it down w/o messing it up later. And I think it's cool about HP. I didn't get past the first couple of chapters in book 4, but I love the movies...but I bought the davinci code and-could not put it down! I loved it. I have been that way about a couple of others too-so it's nice to know someone else does that too. Good luck with your writing! Dena
GO FOR IT... I just wanted to tell you too that I agree with the earlier blog (from Spain).... you can adjust to your new salary... and even if you can't go out and shop or spend money like you use to-those things are part of what is causing you to feel that you need a new life- It's all clutter and meaningless...so again 3 cheers from me and go for your simple life!
Well, I will be honest...starting over is tough and some people are afraid to do it. I am in the process of doing it. I left a great job, sold my condo, and moved back to the town I left years ago and am finding that starting over is hard, but I LOVE IT! I am still in process of doing it, but most importantly, I am doing it. I say GO FOR IT-there is nothing like a simple life on the beach and owning a little bar. You don't have to worry about social expectations because at the beach-anything goes! Besides, being happy is what life is all about...it doesn't matter if you own the right type of furniture-all that matters is if you are happy. Also, this may be what your life needs right now- I think a lot of people go through what you are going through and I hope you make the best decision for yourself. It's scary, but how do you know unless you try. So what if it doesn't work out-it's a new pallette for you begin creating. Just know that you aren't alone-and that again-you never know unless you go for it...don't sit back and wonder what if. I'm cheering you on whatever you decide.
