I too am a great lover of books. I usually read now though mostly biographies, autobiographies, things on history, especially Abraham Lincoln and the Civil War era. I just have found him and all of that period so very very interesting.
I too am very particular with my books. Was just telling someone today we were discussing reading various things and I was saying that a pet peeve of mine is I cannot stand to write or underline in any of my books. I had much rather have a notebook and take any notes I feel necessary than to underline or write in my books. Just something I guess is a pet peeve of mine as I always saw books as something valuable to me.
Glad you enjoy and still enjoy reading and real books. You are so right there is just something about having the real book in your hands. I would like to download some but I think I still like having the real books though sometimes having enough book shelves can become a problem.
I have read a very long time ago some of Stephen King's books, just have not read any of his in many years.
