Sadly I think it is bad for humans; small businesses will not have the capital to invest in the technology, so the big multinationals will thrive, there will then be less real competition. Employees will be few and mainly high-end IT skilled people. Because so many will live as unemployed, it will become a lifestyle for those families, crime will increase partly through boredom and the rich / poor divide will become more extreme.
Autonomous cars are just the beginning....
