I'm 54 and still have a 12 year old at home so that's not necessarily true :)
I don't come across people with health issues but the money thing can be awkward. I don't really want to be keeping someone else at this stage in life and I'm not sure I could do what I did in the past and go into the whole joint finances thing. The main thing I have a problem with is how people are very set in their ways at this stage in life and expect you to fit in with their life, whereas I'm still looking for the next adventure and quite like the idea of moving somewhere new soon, though it may have to wait until my son is at a good stage for me to move.
