Hands down, the number one thing that is important to me is my children and grandchildren above all else. After that my health, to give love and to receive love, friends,and pets but not necessarily in that order:)
Hi Smitten: You sound like me when it comes to animals. I have rescued many animals and they all have a place in my heart. Two weeks ago I had to put my 13 year old cat down. I watched her being born and I watched her die. She was amazing. I have always believed that animals are here to show us humans what unconditional love is. They expect nothing and give so much. You gave this beautiful dog a good home and lots of love. That is what is important. Imagine if she had never came into your life. How awful would that have been. Be with her when she passes so she is not afraid. I believe that everything happens for a reason. She was fortunate to have you to give her love and she gave you love in return. How great is that.
