Guess you'd have to ask yourself if this friendship was a good, positive experience the first time around that may have ended because it just wasn't the right time for either of you to be in a relationship. Or was it a toxic relationship - in which case it is best to be rid of him. Was he playing games? If he was, he will continue to do so and it is best not to reconnect.
