~ Blossoms to a Rose~

Once upon a time there was a rose and this rose
was as beautiful as any rose could be,
Bold in all her color's,
pure as the mountain snow
protective to the end -
Yet ! tender with her touch,
The rose blossomed in the summer sun
and stood tall and firm -
in lifes harshest of winters
protecting all its growth,
then one day the rose shed her
petals to the earth so that new roses could grow
just as strong - just as firm,
and these young rose's -
Arose and stood firm with
there" Mother" but still admired
her unique beauty.
