Maybe then YOU can teel us why health insurance companies have been allowed to increase their premiums so dramatically ? And why have medical services gone up so dramatically ? Is all that Obama's fault ?
First thing you might try is disputing the hospital bill for your son's emergency visit ......they often cut bills in half when you arive and argue what a rip-off the bill is ! I don't know how health care costs are gonna go down without insurance regulation or a gavernment health care program ...
What truly baffles me is that so many would prefer to have our previous administration ( or their principles ) still in place - making the same decisions that got us where we are !!!!!
It's so very much like putting your hands on the burner again - after having already receiving third degree burns and the smell of burning flesh still in the air ...........
Why we should always learn from history is precisely what I have been attempting to impress on those who desire to repeat the same mistakes using the same policies and principles which have even very recently been proven to fail us!

Did it ever occur to anyone that maybe we should care a bit less about worrying about doing things to conform to tradition , and maybe think outside the box enough to make decisions that make sense for today's reality and issues ?
I can only see two real choices .....either regulate medical providers and health insurance companies .....or provide true competition for helth insurance companies by having a public option. And people who seriously can't afford their own insurance policy payments would need to go on the government plan (public option) Then if the helth insurance companies still refuse to lower their premiums - regulate the hell out of em !

But seriously .......we all have different backgrounds, different opinions based on combinations of experiences and up bringing , political knowlege, and even just common sense ( street smarts )......... And, the thing to remember is that as frustrating as it seems - none of us are entirely sure exactly what direction we and our government need to go. I simply ask that people try to set asside their engrained life pattern of the way it should be - and entertain or incorporate others thoughts and ideas to create something entirely new. I am not one to talk here......but have learned in my later years that compromise is the key to success .
Well , maybe you all would like to see things continue the way they ended with Bush and his administration right ? What do ya think would have happened had they continued ?
These things can, and will eventually be solved - and sooner if some of you make an effort to "partially" accept some different approaches than traditional rebublican policies ...
Obama fits into my political phylosophy in that he wants us to think globally, he wants us to be responsible with ecology and alternative energy, he wants us to use foreign diplomacy and patience, he wants to make an attempt to control runaway costs of health care, he wants to curb corporate control and greed. How am I doing so far ?
Yea, we can sit here and waste both of our lives presenting clarifications to what boils down to purely our complete difference on gov and political phylosophy ......... But, I do sincerely believe that Obama haters are special in that they truly hate the man either for "racial prejudice" or because of his potential to actually change the very principles of how we go about doing things in the country. There are many who's upbringing will never allow them to think outside the box ...
Specifically I am please that Obama immediately took action to gather his crew to make decisions to prevent a depression. I don;t agree with the bank bailouts generally - but feel initially it needed to be done to settle down a death spiral with institutions collapsing. His efforts to meet with foreign leaders and express a new American diplomacy has been great in my opinion. Closing GTMO was another excellent idea considering all the bad press with our military torturing etc... It sent a message His efforts with health care reform has been a battle .....it's now in the works. so right off the bat - there are two things done completely differently than Bush would have ....
Oh, yes - I suggest ytou get out more and watch news ..... That commnet was enspired by the fact that Obama did make plenty of TV news that our troops were to be out of Iraq by Oct .... Now - if he's late with making that promise come true - is another issue for debate later
