Y up, it's hard, and nope, it doesn't get easier. I think in some ways the Net ruined dating. It's easy to meet peope online but difficult to take that step from online to real life.
Until the US and Britain change their policies in the Mid East, we'll just keep training more Osamas. Our blatant, in your face, warmongering over there just serves as a recruitment tool for anti americanism. The Americans are just as stupid about the MidEast as Britain is about Ireland
As long as it is a capitalist/fascist world, things will never get better for the average person. The G8 countries don't want to lift anyone out of poverty, they are run by corporatocracies that just want more money. It's all about them, any pretense of doing something for "people" is just that.
