I've had the opposite. Every dating site I've been to, I get hit on by men 15 years or more younger than me. I'm not a cougar, I don't chase them, they find me. I'd love to find someone my own age, but they seem to be old farts who don't want to do anything and can't keep up with me.
I had an internet stalker from another website who wouldnt take no for an answer. He followed me all over the net to every site and forum I visited, even ones related to my hobbies and interests. He was really ticked at my involvement with Irish issues. He was a brit living in Australia. He stalked me by phone, email and websites. I got every website moderator to block him, I blocked and deleted him, refused his calls, etc. eventually he gave up, after about a year.
I know from 12,000 miles away he really couldn't hurt me, but it was creepy anyway. I just had to remember what's the worst he could do, type at me?
I keep getting mails from a spammer who is from India, Pakistan, Australia, the US... all with the same language syntax, different fake photos and all the astro sign of Cancer. Seriously dude, how stupid do you think I am.
Been single for 4 years now. It was really hard at first and the lonliness almost killed me. Then I moved in with my son and granddaughter and although I really miss having someone special in my life, it's a lot better now that I have family around again.
I would seriously give up a lot for the right man, but one thing I won't give up is my horses. Two ex husbands have told me to sell the horses. I still have the horses.
