I'm not refuting you here Aries, just laying out my take...Atheists do have ethical and moral values. I have encountered many of them in America and especially in Sweden. I for one, do not connect atheism with evil or immorality. I don't believe that morality or "good" must be obtained by what and how you would perceive God, as those who define and perceive God by what you have observed in your lifetime.
What people generalize about Atheists comes from a misconception by some philosophers or religious zealots that an Atheist must be immoral or evil because an Atheist does not believe in God.
Great! It's a beautiful day here. I had baseball practice earlier and my swing is feeling good again. The Force has returned! Hope all is cool with you...
Your thoughts create and attract your reality....shift them and believe. Nothing manifests without belief...If that is what you believe, then that will be your reality...
I'm skeptical of this story. I'll look into this and come back. This does not strike me as something Carl Sagan would dismiss. I am pretty sure I have some reading that would suggest otherwise. I am thinking you ran into disinformation....
"Science is not only compatible with spirituality; it is a profound source of spirituality"- Carl Sagan.
I strongly feel that major breakthroughs in science changes the rules, laws, and limits in our physical and metaphysical world. These scientific breakthroughs also will alter the way we see ourselves as physical and spiritual beings which is instrumental for deepening our individual and collective consciousness...paradigm shift if you will....
It's okay, just stick with your reality and I will stick with mine...no sense in engaging in a nonsensical holy CS war...
I've been in too many of these in another forum and this one as well....and I don't feel sorry for anyone and their different views...I just have understanding...something I learned from Jesus...and I am not a Christian, but do love the wisdom of Jesus
That is the worst kind of jail to live in, a jail in your mind suffocating you if you live other people's lives and adhere to their standards and demands. You lose yourself in that process. I learned that in sports...
I really don't care what other people think and I don't change my ways to fit in with anybody...and I am happier ever since I have been doing that.
Yeah, talk about making a stand...I've had a few run ins with him. He told me I was going to hell! All because I proposed different views that itched his paradigm...
I still don't trust Russia and their alliances. Personally, I can see an EU and US alliance in the future...economically...like one currency when China explodes economically. Man, once China becomes an economic force, they then can upgrade or build up a formidable and powerful military, which will then pave the way for political clout and global positioning via threats and fears...
Oh, things are worse...much worse than the cold war. More players in the game now...
This missile defense deal is not a good sign of things to come....the lines have been drawn again...personally, Russia needs to chill out. I mean, why are they so worried?
Okay, sorry about that. I totally understand where you are coming from...this western concept of God. I too get a bit when people refer to God or the God Source and Force as a he...
Personally, I don't see a problem with it if one is just trying to get by. But if it becomes exploitations and overstepping boundaries as far as what they promise to deliver, then I can see a problem...
Diceman, thanks for sharing. Sorry for all the questions, but have you ever cured anyone with a disease? And I know there are many people who share your same gift. You should be proud of it indeed. Anyone in your family with the same gift? I think you should try and get in touch with other people with the same gift or at least have a webpage..
That is what I meant. I have never met anyone who can do this, but I believe it. I have read a lot about this topic, and I do recognize a lot of keywords that are synonymous with other stories and testimonies....
This is so true. Pat was one of the most awesome individuals that I met during my 5 week stay on the West Coast....He is just as vibrant, funny, and happy in person. An interesting and wise man also....
