Sometimes for sure, but women also infatuate or go for things for the wrong reasons. Allot of women will choose stability over someone they really care about. Just like men, they have the ability to make poor choices when it comes to relationships. So none of your answers fit IMO.

Other than move slow, not sure. I have had a year long relationship with a woman that had some very impressive walls built up. She had a very difficult time completely trusting me and unfortunately it ended poorly.
Honestly, I think maybe some sort of counseling may not be a bad idea. That is the hard part about relationships, you have to trust to a point you become vulnerable and that is not always easy to achieve.
However, I think with some people, that does not discourage them in the slightest. I read an article about people that are attracted only to those that are married. So, be wary, on occasion it might have the opposite effect
