Other than move slow, not sure. I have had a year long relationship with a woman that had some very impressive walls built up. She had a very difficult time completely trusting me and unfortunately it ended poorly.
Honestly, I think maybe some sort of counseling may not be a bad idea. That is the hard part about relationships, you have to trust to a point you become vulnerable and that is not always easy to achieve.

The walls are there for a reason (at least with me). They are a form of self-defense. Life has been a cruel teacher, and I'm a good student. That wall is not solid or permanent. If a man gets to know me and truly wants something more, he'll be willing to help me remove that wall one brick at a time. If he doesn't have the patience and understanding to do that, then he's not the one for me.
