Sorry everyone didn't aggree with you. Thats what happens when you ask for peoples opinions, you get them. A lot of people kept it civil, it was you who brought the assumptions and unciviliaty into the thread.

can you say the same. Its ok by me if you are not proud of the little bit of Irish iyou have in you, like anyone cares. You waffle on about your country and your government. I just watched a programme here (uncensored by the way) and they way your government is treating the lads coming home for Iraq is disgraceful. Oh yeah they get a yellow sticker and a lovely parade, but thats it. Are you proud of that. Dont go bashing europeans cause the president of Iran is on American soil. I did not invite him. Whats the problem anyway. He is the reprensetive of the Iranian people and has not got as much blood on his hands as the man who reprensents the prople of america. Oh I get it. He does not bow to the almighty one.
btw. He lives in Ireland. He was born in France. So why should his comments make you ashamed to be Irish.

When the british occupied northern they brought in internment. One morning the soldiers banged down the door and took the men out, this included boys who were over 18. They were put into prision. No trial,no judge,no jury,no sentence. Nobody knew when and if they would be freed.
The effect this had was that for every man interned,2 joined the I.R.A. Point being that when people witness injustice on a daily basis,guess what, they fight back. Whatever way they can. If there was a foreign soldier on Irish soil, the whole army could be outside my door and no way would I roll over. This has nothing to do with my religion. So I do no wonder why people are prepared to strap bombs to themselves. I think it is extreme but I also can see how people can be driven to do such acts because of the conditions they have to endure at the hands of foreigh soldiers occupying their homes and their lands.
