For 25 years the Israel has been tihgtening the garrot around the neck of the Palestinian populace. They are backed up against the wall and have no where to turn. They too have been there for hundreds of years and they too have sacred religious sites that they have worshiped for thousands of years.
A two state solution is the only "Just" and "Honorable" answer to this delema.
The international community deems the annexed lands in the West Bank as Palestinian land. Israel has to grow up and stop being the bully.
They've drawn the US in to this fray and tricked us into fighting their battles.
Finally we have a US President will vision to see through this ruse and put a stop to it.
Conrad, I know how frustrating this must be for you, not having a viable reply for the barbarity that is going on in the West Bank and Gaza. Everyone knows about the desperation there. And as we know desperate situations call for desperate measures. But commandeering a Thread by posting and reposting the same story about the lengths one man went to to get the occupation forces out of his country, is not going to make those of us that object to this barbarity, go away. Sad but true.
Ok, picture this. You have a room full of men, say about 100 or so. A few real big guys. Lets say 3 or so. Now the big guys have knives, and pistols and ammo around there neck and a shot gun perhaps and next to each big guy is a box of hand grenades, lets say five hundred to a box. No one in the room dares to mess with these big guys.
Way over in a corner is a real little guy. Tiny little guy, ok. This tiny little guy has all the same guns and ammo as the big guys AND he has a box of about 200 grenades.
What do you think the big guys would do if they decided to make a pact. "lets downsize the grenade thing." And they all agreed, except the tiny little guy over in the corner.
At least Obama is bringing the whole nuclear arms issue to the forfront. It can't go on the way it is now. Old people might say go for it, because their life is over, but what about the children. And subsequent generations. Nuclear fallout would change the world. Everyone would be affected.
Conrad, What country the size of New Jersey has 200 nuclear warheads and yet refuses to allow UNITED NATIONS weapons inspectors to view these facilities? This same country won't participate in the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty?
