Nuclear weapons come in all sizes and kiloton. They would the use right size device for the target and its proximity to Israel. The unit, I was with had nuclear abilities.....and the longest target we could attack from our position was only 38 miles. It was a small kiloton device. But would destroy a massed armor division. In fact was designed to do exactly that.
Most people think of large mega kilo ton device explosion. They see the big mushroom clouds of tests. It is a mistake. The majority of the world nuclear device are small and mid yield devices. What Israel's are ..I am clueless to. But if they only get 8 kilo of plutoium per year from that single reactor, they are not build many mega kilo ton devices.
