I have an English Standard version of the Bible. It makes it much easier to read, but to answer your question, the bible was written over 2000 years ago to people in THAT era, in THAT time. Read the parables in Matthew, Mark, or Luke, they're all examples from THAT era.
I don't know if all guys are like this, but I'm really picky about what I find attractive as far as how a girl looks. I prefer to date petite, skinny, cute, or dainty girls, someone that suits my OWN body style.
