Does Archaeology Support the Bible?

Easy question here:

.. Do you accept my beliefs?

.. Do you believe that people should be tolerant of all other beliefs?

.. Why do you expect people to be tolerant of your beliefs?

Just mull those over a bit in your collective head.

Does Archaeology Support the Bible?

I didn't think I was either. Funny.confused uh oh

Does Archaeology Support the Bible?

You've hit on something there. Apparently CS is really a nonbeliever dating site. No Christians need apply (or they can, they just can't be out-of-the-closet Christians)

moping blues sigh

Does Archaeology Support the Bible?

But what about the link SerpentaManon posted right under your comment? Can I impose an ultimatum to make her stop it? Or would you defend her right to post things that can be inflammatory toward other people?

I mean, think about it. Nothing In my post attacks any of you at all. It just merely suggests that the historical claims in the Bible are factually reliable, as evidenced by archaeology.

And everyone's blowing their lid. Double standard, I say.

What do you think about the Ark Encounter?

Been there, done that. It's unfortunate you have a preconceived notion that I'm somehow uneducated on the subject.

Does Archaeology Support the Bible?

I notice that nobody has responded to the point that was brought up in the OP.

Wonder why that is? Do you have no responses, other than this one------->rolling on the floor laughing

Surely you can do better.

Does Archaeology Support the Bible?

But I'm not expecting flaming at all. We're all adults here, or so I thought (not referring to you specifically, but one can see by the other comments that not everyone is taking my post seriously in a mature fashion).

I simply wanted to bring this to the attention of anyone who's interested. I'm not forcing anyone to comment on here, and if they decide to flame me, then they're breaking the rules, not I.

Thanks for the heads-up, but I want to reiterate that I'm not posting this with the intent of starting a flame war. Just beneficial information. :)

This may also be useful to those of you who actually have inquiring minds:

What do you think about the Ark Encounter?

I didn't lie when I said I trusted the Bible. That pretty much necessitates my having a lot of knowledge about the text...

Links are just if you're interested in searching out whether the Bible is reliable or not. :)

What do you think about the Ark Encounter?

Obviously I'm asking you why you believe in what you call "the only one" god.

How do you know?

Please, do tell.

But the truth of what's contained in the book is all that's required, not the book itself.

Romans 14. Neither does my Faith.

How can you know something you don't know about? Logical inconsistency.

Neither does my Faith.

Is not God a leader?

If each is to suffer for their own sins (pay their own punishment), then all will rot in hell for all eternity. There's only one way out--Jesus paid your bail. You just gotta accept it.

I have not been attempting to debate you, just trying to understand why you do or think or say what you do. I frequently find that people who do not believe in God are reduced to absurdity when they begin to attempt to justify their beliefs, because God is the source of all reason. Remember the 1 Corinthians 2:14 verse I cited you.

Cheers.

I see it every time I look at your thumbnail. But you have nothing to laugh at. So it comes across as a little insane. But I won't judge you for it. peace

What do you think about the Ark Encounter?

No, I just want to know what your reason is. If there is one. Perhaps you can enlighten me, if you think I'm so wrong. Because here's the way I see it: You hate God. You don't want anything to do with Him, and you hate anybody who follows Him. You show as much by your actions. So when you profess that you believe in some god, it makes me wonder what your god is like, and why you believe in it at all.

Just wondering. Answer if you can.

What do you think about the Ark Encounter?

I simply mean that you're not following NCC's rules (or, in his words, not using common sense, logic, or science)

What do you think about the Ark Encounter?

There's no common sense rule that says you can't refer to the Bible--SerpentaManon would seem to agree.

Can you tell me why you believe in a god? I'm curious.

Also the 3rd option.

What do you think about the Ark Encounter?

First option. UD actually gets it right. I'm impressed.

What do you think about the Ark Encounter?

Your copypasta does not deserve my effort.

If you don't get the reference, see NCC's replies to me.

What do you think about the Ark Encounter?

Well according to NCC, you're not allowed to do that, because we didn't agree upon it ahead of time.

What do you think about the Ark Encounter?

That people should behave logically? Sorry, but that's something you just have to accept. If you can't, it's impossible for us to have a conversation of any sort. (could explain a lot of what I'm seeing on here)

What do you think about the Ark Encounter?

Do you want an answer?

What do you think about the Ark Encounter?

Pardon me, but no one has made a single coherent argument that I'm aware of that I have not responded to.

Moreover, the only "rules" I'm expecting you to follow are Laws of Logic (which are pretty universal, and you can find information on them anywhere).

I basically just expect you to make sense. Is that too much to ask?

What do you think about the Ark Encounter?

Read a dictionary. I mean that I COULD respond to it if I wanted to, but I get the feeling that she doesn't want a response, which makes me not want to make the effort.

Make more sense?

What do you think about the Ark Encounter?

See, in my description about trolls to Amity, the one about making up imaginary rules that you insist I follow. Troll behavior. Stop it.

What do you think about the Ark Encounter?

I have no problem with that science, and you have no monopoly on it. Don't conflate forensic science with experimental science.

What do you think about the Ark Encounter?

Nope, people who

a. Spam links and don't address other posters (except to post inflammatory remarks, but they still won't be addressing arguments)
b. Make up imaginary rules that they insist I follow and become increasingly offensive, aggressive, and repetitive when I fail to follow their rules.
c. Ignore my arguments and simply express their negative emotions relative to me.
d. Ad hominem, ad hominem, ad hominem. Complex question, question-begging epithets, etc.

That's a troll. That's kidatheart, incidentally. And StressFree. SerpentaManon seems to be getting there. At least she posts stuff that I can theoretically respond to, but I get the feeling she doesn't want a response (another form of trolling).

What do you think about the Ark Encounter?

Indeed. Nonbelievers have no rational basis for...well, rationality.

What do you think about the Ark Encounter?

Last time I'm responding to you, child. I'll lay it out very plainly for you.

1. You demanded that I answer your questions.
2. I asked you to tell me what questions you had asked.
3. You clarified that you had NOT asked me any questions.
4. Thus, I stated that I was justified in not "answering," because there was nothing to answer.

Now you are again insisting that I'm supposed to answer a question that was never asked.

If you wish to ask me a question, feel free to do so, but your behavior is trolling at this point. I will ignore you if you keep repeating yourself. This is just a courtesy to let you know why.

What do you think about the Ark Encounter?

Doubt no longer. Read any one of the gospels. Jesus states several times that He was equal to God, which led the Jewish elders to try to stone Him for blasphemy, because as they saw it, He claimed to be God (it would be strange if He was not doing so, because then how could they believe that that's what He did?). Moreover, people worship Him, and only God can receive worship, but Jesus accepts worship. This is in contrast to the angels, who assertively deny worship aimed at them.

Cheers

What do you think about the Ark Encounter?

Well then why are you accusing me of not answering your questions? Seems like a red herring to me.
