between the darkness and the light is where I'll find you tonight between the heavens and the earth wrapped in everlasting mirth
we meet as children play as friends ride our bikes and then pretend captains of a ship on course for mars but then we decide it's way too far
dancing through our adolescence holding hands and stealing kisses quiet whispers to the comets marking our names with pluses on them
blazing into adulthood still raptured embrace each of us filled a walk along the beach of space heaven knows no greater place
make our home in the suns warm glow talk of dreams and the world below we fill our home with the sound of a laughter our children play and we chase after
watch our children, see them grow such beauty in their hearts they know first steps among the clouds we see them off to find their own way now
moon is rising upon our home you take my hand and we both know we sit upon our garden swing and reminisce over everything
with soft wrinkles in our hands here we are old woman and man we make our way to the atmosphere and great beyond without any fear
but there your laying quietly dear unknowing I've whispered in your ear don't forget next time our course to mars I think we can make it, it's not too far
and just before the wake of day in the corner of your eye I'll stay until the darkness and the light afford us yet another nights life
