The holidays are coming and the library will be closed. In July there will be a special event for all of Hawaii on Oahu called the Convoy of Hope. They have a web site and they travel the world for helping communities with a little job fair, free hair cuts, free physicals for children trying to get into sports at school who couldn't afford the exam cost and more...like a free bar b que for all until supplies last, free slippers, free backpacks and free bag of groceries too and more. Check them out and ask or see when they'll be in your neighborhood. Take care and Happy 4TH!
To honor the police department this week is Police Week. Begun in 1962 by President Kennedy Police Week is dedicated to the brave and the patriotic Police Department.
Today many people have donated to the Japan tsunami relief funds from Caines film festival 2011, American Red Cross, Konishiki and many others. Hope Japan is getting lots of help. Tokyo is the capitol of Japan. Thanks for the poll.
I watch Paranormal State whenever I can. The host had a real paranormal experience and helps people today. Some places are really haunted and some are malevolent spirits and can be dangerous.
On an episode of Ghost Hunters they went international and when they started to visit other countries they encountered ghosts that didn't understand English.
Maybe people find you a kind person, so they can tell things to you.
it's Easter week. Happy Easter! What will you be doing in Hawaii at Easter?
As for myself this Easter I'll be planning a nice quiet at home studying. Borrowed books from the library and plan to watch Easter movies on television. Saying a little prayer of thanks too.
Come to Hawaii to see the Hawaiian Scottish Festival this weekend. Got nothing to do? Come visit our home of Oahu, Hawaii and see at Kapiolani Park our Scottish Festival! For more informationa:
Why Thursday? Because the public library where I use the computer is open till 8PM on Thursdays. We get to use the computer longer on Thursdays. Working hard to be able to afford a computer of my own.
time ticks by so fast that Valentine's Day has come and gone and now it'll be President's Day. As we take time to reflect what has happened and the months ahead with our holiday President's Day to know that things may not be so good, but we can be thankful for what we got. Times are hard and seem to be getting harder. Yet I feel if we all stick it out and not forget bad things will end-like a bad cold it too ended and how we felt that day that it ended!
At times I get angry or sad and I still go back and try again for it is the unfailing American Spirit that comes through in all of us like our nation's anthem "...what so proudly we hail..." and proudly we carry on.
This President's Day 2011 may I say humbly thanks America. It is still government by, for and to the people! I've been reading in the newspapers where they had a change of things and they don't even vote like we do. Though we may not alwasy agree with our elected officials we still can tell them. Happy President's Day.
If you need prayers or help you have a place to turn to online that's safe
