Yep, had one of those supervisors who was insecure in her position and got jealous if anyone learned anything new so she did her best to keep the rest of us down. Used to dread going to work. Karma got her in the end though and I was promoted above her
Pity cos I'm sure that's most people's ideal woman!
I used it out of curiosity but it can be quite off putting because if a search brings back 40 pages there's not much chance of me going through them all.
I read most of the Alex Cross series and liked Patterson's writing style at the beginning but as the books went on it became very predictable. I could nearly guess what phrase would be used where and his sentence structure became quite annoying whereas it was something that endeared me towards the character of Cross back in book one. That kind of turned me off because it was like I was reading the same book over and over. It's been a while since I read any of his stuff though so maybe I'm over it! I haven't read any Patricia Cornwell, I'm not really a fan of thrillers - I kind of fell into James Patterson. Plus I'm a big scaredy cat so even that had me imagining there were serial killers in my wardrobe...
I used to read a lot of james patterson but he started writing books faster than i could read them! Is crossfire any good? Might give him a 2nd chance!

I actually joined the Central Library in town but they never have anything I'm looking for so I end up buying I'm probably the friend that others are robbing from!
RE: be happy with what u got in life!!
Saw it on that Russell Howard show last year - brought a tear to my eye.
