RE: Smokers - the new Canadian victims

Fair enough, chief. Honoestly the only thing that bothers me is parents smoking, or allowing smoking around their children. That is the only thing that gets me.

RE: Smokers - the new Canadian victims

Still need to get used to looking below for the quoted part. One has to look at it in a certain light I suppose. I use my truck to plow snow in the winter time and haul wood. Without such, how would we remove the snow from roads and what not. Or how would we haul cattle, or whatever it is needed to be moved. A necesary evil

RE: Smokers - the new Canadian victims

Huh? Was that reaility thing toward someone else, Grrr? A truck has it's place if used right.

RE: Smokers - the new Canadian victims

I do like my V8! Killing the earth one tank at a time! Ohh yeah.

Honoestly though, I hope that last part is in jest of some sort.

RE: Smokers - the new Canadian victims

The idea isn't bad, however the cost is. People can continue to buy their smokes, the addiction I'll argue isn't near as bad as a meth addiction nor as bad to our society.

So, let the smokers quit on their own accord. It isn't that hard to kick if one REALLY tries.

RE: Canada and it's role in the war

If they are as advanced as you claim, why do they suffer larger casualties than most other forces around the world.

And lets not forget Grrr, we have one of the best trained forces out there. They come here to learn from us. And the matter of the fact is, they DO need our help. You will not solve the Middle east conflict by a chemical weapon, so that point is irrelevant.

RE: Canada and it's role in the war

Okay, it may be late... But I just read this... interesting opinion. Did you know over there, before the Taliban... woman were allowed to work, and not where all the head gear while in public? Didn't know that did you... That's okay, now you know, so maybe you can tell me why woman's rights are such a waste? Jsut curious, as it was once better and it will be again.

RE: Canada and it's role in the war

First thing that had my blood a boiling in this thread... We haven't lost that many, I DEARLY wish people would stop crying about our current loses. We've been in the war for 5 or 6 years and have only lost in the 30s of people...

And lets all think of this. If we leave Afgan. the Taliban returns. And then return to putting down so many woman and children's rights. So sure, why don't we leave? I agree the US should finish what they start, but they are unable to. So we are going in an cleaning up after them.

People, support our troops! This is the FIRST TIME in our history where our people have not backed the troops, and the wars our gov't puts us in.

I could go on... but as it is, it is late.

RE: PEACEKEEPERS....

We are the first country to in fact to do peacekeeping. The question you are asking is sort of an oxymoron. Going on peacekeeping missions means we are taking a stand aganist an injustice that is occuring in another country, thus we are standing up for those who cannot battle said injustice.

As for your second question... well, in the right eyes isn't taking a stand doing the right thing? You would have to look at the situation before really judging. So... maybe explain that a little more?
