Lol I don't think it's a matter of which gender should try harder but... Nice guys that tried to get with what they thought was a good girl got screwed over and are more reluctant and shy/cautious to who they go for next. I'm sure girls did the same. I think both genders if they want to find that special someone needs to put all their effort in getting to know a wide variety of people and not think you can find the love of your life in one hour but hey you might be lucky and find him/her in 5 minutes.
