I don't care if I can be treated as stupid or idiot. It is none of my business. Of course, some people may think I am easy to cheat. But it is not true. I pay a lot of attention and my friend are not many, but true friends and honest.

No idea if it depends on the Embassy, the American consulate in Italy could check the copy I sent them, so I am out and it was the wisest action I could do...
I don't absolutely want a green card. That man was living in London. I am European and happy to stay in Europe.The reason why I asked his passport was just to check his identity, and as I could predict it was a fals one, so the point is that when looking for a relashionship, I don't want to stay with a liar, that's all.
for everyone's information, that man had a nickname, afleming, Alex Fleming, listed in the men in London area his full name and I know for sure that he is on more than one site, he has probably deleted his profile from CS but I am not sure...
Thanks, hope it will never happen again, I met a couple of other people and everything seems to be ok..I have heard stories of success so it will happen to meet the right person, if not on the Internet, surely a 'more real' person, in a more traditional way..
It is a way to check, if the identities are true, the person involved is unlikely to be a scammer However, asking the passport was a second step, after a Skype conversation. In my case that man never showed his face neither bought a webcam so I felt suspicious...
It is a personal practice as I come from Italy which is the land of the stolen passports and also Holland is on the black list.. It already happened to me with another site and another fake American..Better to ask and check, the police can keep informed, and you won't have any bad experience.
What a lovely picture of the American man: widoved, with just his daughter, really unlucky, had lost his brother and his dad.. very rich but very sad, a true believer in God, the perfect (copied) picture of a liar. No webcam on Skype (who knows why) in 2012... and a lot of excuses not to get one.. Hope none will meet people like him. Speaking for myself I ALWAYS ask for a copy of the passport, if someone has nothing to hide you can exchange passport, and first of all have a Skype chat to see if he/she is real in a way or not..
Hi, he didn't send me his passport spontaneously, but I asked him to send me a copy of it.. However I had created an email account just to communicate with him and nobody else so I do not think he could do anything wrong...
If you want to make sure if someone really exist, ask a scanned copy of his passport and send it to the appropriate consulate or embassy, so you won't be cheated.
I told that men what happened and he could not believed it.. So I had to say bye bye liar.. Must tell you that he used to say that he didn't like liars.
So it's been a waste of time we have been in touch for more than a month. Thank God I checked it...
I met someone on this sitewhose passport, checked by the American Embassy was false. Everything seemed to be perfect with that man. Unfortunately he was not American but I wonder if people like him could be hackers or dangerous or simply liars. However, it is done and I have had a really bad experience.
