it depends on what type of forms being filled in. for banks, credit cards, government in my country divorce needs to be filled in. the logic of this is you where attached to the other person at some stage of your life though tax, insurance or banks.That never changes even if a person remarries or the other person dies.
I must say I was shocked at the comments and views that where expressed on this thread about divorced people.
I hope for those people that divorce never knocks at their doors or anyone close to them. Only when you have walked that path will you understand divorce.
