Science is GREAT, it gives us (non-specialists) the time and affluence to pursue the so-called “finer things” in life. What would all those “science knocking luddites” do without the achievements of science? Return to living in treetops? I think Scientist and science have a pretty good track record when one compares the positive and negative effect on all our lives.
perhaps not, but i would make a lot of the none offenders feel better. nothing will deter the confuse criminal mind as they usually expect not to be held accountable for their crimes -- however, i feel that it would reduce the willingness of minor "gang" members to bow to peer pressure, after they had a few good beatings.
Smoky, I am sure that you know the answer to the question you have posted. Unreliability as well as reliability are choices people make. If something is really, important to us then we all seam to manage to be reliable. Your question should perhaps be: Do I wish to be emotionally involved with a person who does not give a damn about my love and me? all the best, Frei
