It depends what you mean by unreliable. Most of us, I suspect, have been unreliable at times, perhaps having to break a date/meeting for selfish reasons or not arriving on time. Unreliability as in a lack of trust, or infidelity, are more serious and may be character flaws which cannot be changed, therefore I for one would find it difficult to be forgiving in such circumstances and try to move on.

Turn my face to the wall and weep. Not bloody likely.

This happens and all too often. But that is partly what growing up means, growing up in relationships just as grows up in work and with family. However, never make the mistake of thinking that you are always the victim, there is the same potential in you to be unreliable, callous and mean.

Smoky, I am sure that you know the answer to the question you have posted.
Unreliability as well as reliability are choices people make. If something is really, important to us then we all seam to manage to be reliable.
Your question should perhaps be:
Do I wish to be emotionally involved with a person who does not give a damn about my love and me?
all the best, Frei
