Yes,smoky,I concur with you,sometimes we have over ambitious on the relationship or love we are looking for which leads to someone providing boundary to his/her true love.All this may be caused by the past relationships or reading too much romance books.Personally I think true love can be achieved by commitments and understanding that human is never perfect.other factor are adjustable(noropalani).
Noropalani, I agree with u on some factors and disagree with u on the example you gave "You can see this evidently from the success of many many marriages in India".most of the marriage in india are culture based rather than different cultures.
