Don't think about it do it. I walked away from keeping up with the Jones almost 2 years ago after my mom passed away. I work from my laptop doing several things affiliate marketing, Youtube, Printful " making my own shirt designs " and selling them via facebook ads. Once you learn to not care about what others think of how you live is the day you discover true freedom. Yes I make less than I did at my job of 12 years, I can honestly say my simple life has made me much more happy and stress free. Word of advice get debt free first no matter what it takes.
This is a very interesting thread. I've noticed most that have complimented are from South Wales, If I may I would like to give my input as a male in the U.S.
Using my group of friends who are roughly equal numbers of male and female in there 30's to 40's. Seems the females are the ones who constantly think they "need someone" especially once they are over the age of 35.
The men including myself could take or leave a relationship and are completely happy being single. Would we prefer being in a relationship with a wonderful woman absolutely! But in my personal experience with women in the U.S. the benefits of staying single and casually dating outweigh the benefits of being in a relationship.
