The historical and real religions in Indonesia are hinduism and boudhism ...not islam at all. Islam has been introduced only recently... Unfortunately... It means that Islam is not really grounded in people's mind, but hinduism and boudhism are.
I think you are completely right. And this must be said. It's a mistake to give so much rights to women in the western world.
What happen is that more and more men are living on their own (it's better for them) and alone. It's maybe the reason why we are registered here.
If I'm registered on CS, it's because I hope to meet women who live in another parts of world from where I live (Asia for instance but not only...). The place of the woman in lots of other cultures different from mine seems to be really more sane, and the relation between men and women more easy when women don't spend all their time with asking and claiming for rights. The behaviour of women in my country is for me unbearable (and the word is light).
