You obviously can't read properly, or perhaps need to go to Specsavers - you said "stop thinking SOME men are creeps" - how can I stop thinking that, when there clearly ARE creeps out there? Just as there are freaky women? In any event, I take people as I find them - if they present themselves as creeps, I shall accept that this is what they are.
And what precious assets do men have that make them more valuable when they are older? I recommend you read my post called THE CHANGE in the blogs, where I have given a woman's perspective, and someone answered with a man's - both are good for a laugh, and both are true.
To respond to your (SO WHAT) comment - if I don't need a man to give me a home, or a car, or a job.... then I can only assume you meant we need men for their penises? What else could there be? I have friendship covered. Oh dear, you have so much to learn. Poor thing.
Wow, Moderman, you have some opinion of men, lol. Contrary to popular belief, us "older women" are not desperate, and therefore have the patience to wait until we find something worthwhile. I have my own business, my own home, my own car, younger women may be in the market to be taken care of, or provided for, whereas older women are more often than not, sorted.
Most often, men seek out younger models because they are afraid of losing their youth, some need arm candy, and some just don't have the confidence and ability to handle a mature and experienced woman. And if you take the time to look at some of the men older than 40, you might then discover the reason why us older women can be a little fussy. If we still look ok, then the least we can expect is that you do, too??
I agree that there are two sides to every story - but please, don't generalise. Saying "women don't get more valuable when they are older?" Good God, man, what planet are you from? You probably have a big exhaust on your car, don't ya?
And anyway, in my opinion, the older you get, the more you value such things as the right companionship, laughter, the comfort of being secure and loved, or just being plain grateful that your eyes open to see another day, lol. Younger women are in different places, and so they should be - we were all there once, and they need to earn their stripes.
I don't think all men are creeps. But by the tone of your comment, you cannot be surprised that I think SOME men are.... ;-)
No, I don't think there's any cover charge for Crane Lane. There are 3 parts to the bar, and the back area is where the music is played - I am not sure if there will be a charge to get in there, but we won't be sitting there, so the answer is probably no charge.
We are all on a budget!
PS I did email them asking these questions, but they never replied to me :-(
Lol, sounds a bit mad, eh? I am 20 miles outside Cork city, so how's that for commitment from me. I have booked into a B&B for the night also. And bringing a spare girl friend along, too. And I know of a def 8 that will be there, for sure. The rest I can't comment on, I don't know them.
I've been to Crane Lane, it's very nice, I'm just not familiar with the street names, but you can GOOGLE it? Or do you want me to do ALL the work for you....
ha ha, I don't know the road's name. Am not from the City myself. But if you are in Patrick Street (which is the main street with all the shops), then take a left down one of the side streets. Whatever road THAT is, that's the road the GPO is in, lol, if that helps. It's nearer the top end of Patrick street, rather than the bottom end. And ask, ask, ask.... someone will guide you in.
lol, Western, it was a suggestion by Admin - to allow other members to know we are from CS, lol. Can just see me now dragging a yellow helium balloon all over Cork. ;-)
If not a yellow balloon, I'll try and do SOMETHING yellow, maybe daffodils, ha ha.
Do try and come, if you don't enjoy yourself you can always leave... I've had to book into accommodation to go to my own event, lol, so it would be nice to see you, too.
For those of you who are not familiar with CRANE LANE, just locate the GPO in Cork and it's just around the corner.
Ask anyone near that area, Crane Lane is well known.
If you don't see us in the front bar with a yellow balloon (lol), it's because it's too full, so have a look around for us. We'll be squashed in somewhere.
Spread the word, Karl, the more the merrier. How else are we going to get to know more people?
Looking forward to meeting everyone, see you there!
If the place is packed and we're not in the front bar, keep looking - we will have moved to wherever we find some space. I'll try and have a yello balloon up, else I'll have a yellow something, somewhere lol.
Hi, No, there is NO age limit, and contrary to the cheeky git's comment below, this is not for over 60's only ha ha. I am not there yet. Bring anyone, it doesn't matter. The more that come, the more new people we meet.

I think if and when you do meet your ideal woman, you should wear more than a raincoat if that's your attitude.... Personally you are just the type of idiot I go at lengths to avoid.
And picky? Why, of course we are. Any woman worth her salt will be fussy enough as to who she invites into her life. Looks like you shot yourself in the foot there, mate.
RE: I have a horn !
Is it in tune? And can it reach high C?
