Okey dokey... This is one I couldn't pass on by because I am a single parent myself.

Sometimes, the father isn't in the picture for safety reasons, such as the mother with her children having left an abusive parent. So, joint custody is not always an option when a mother leaves an abusive relationship.

As for the children being brats; well, I have to agree with you on that one. I'm not a perfect parent myself, but my children aren't bratty and spoiled as majority of children are in society. I see a lot of other single parents, esp. the single fathers, don't have much discipline over their children when in public, or at home. However, I have also seen two parent families with no discipline in their household as well. It's just not the single parents. It's every family in one's community.

For me, it's the wolf! I am shy as the wolf is. However, I can be aggressive when it comes to the safety of my children, as the mother wolf is when her young are in danger, but I'm also affectionate with my children as a wolf is with his/her young...
