I think that too. I think a lot of men believe that we are looking for financial gain. I provide for my children, and would never expect that from a man! Their father never provided, so why should any other man be expected to!
Also, yes, friendship should always come first. Friendship is what all good relationships are built on. They may be your lover, but they should also be your best friend, your confidant.
