RE: Cold feet or wisdom??

That's cold feet or nerves, you can't really make any kind of decision until you have actually spoken to them in person and got to know them, remember this is just a foot in the door so to speak, even if their "not the one" you might still make a great friend.
Never be afraid to take a chance.

RE: Nicknames....

It's all that I could get for EBAY, so now it's just easier to remember it then come up with something new dunno

RE: If there was one thing you could do....

Go to Africa banana

Have you ever searched your name on Google?

I was a little bored the other day and I typed my name in on Google and was amazed at what came up, letters to editors, photos in news papers and various other stuff.

It's more then a little weird wow

RE: What music are you listening to right now (MK 2)

But you do have to give him credit, he made great music right up until the end and he got even better with age head banger

RE: What music are you listening to right now (MK 2)

Sad to say, I'm a Johnny Cash man

RE: ...Fire

With over 130 people dead it's more then just serious, and with fires as close as 20km from where I am right now surrounding us on 3 sides and a notice to move hanging over our heads, it's more then just a little serious from my point of view.

RE: ...Fire

Nope, as far as I'm concerned the problem was with all these groups that put a stop to things like building firebreaks and preventing back burning before the season starts and stopping new fire roads being built.

That would take care of a lot of the natural fires, now all we need is laws so that when people start them on purpose the punishment will actually deter other like minded individuals doing the same thing.
They caught a 16yr old near here that was starting fires and the cops couldn't even hold him as he was a minor, I say try him as an adult.

RE: Highlights of you life

I would say it was the time that I was driving back from my grandfathers farm along a dirt road, I came around a corner and hit something (I'm still not 100% sure what) and the car lost control, it went for the ditch at the side of the road and rolled. I went over 6 times and then did a flip at the end, I wound up facing the wrong way up the road with one leg out of the car where the windscreen used to be.
No that itself wasn't one of my happiest memories, no the happy part was when I crawled out, patted myself down and realized that not only was I alive but other then a slight cut on my head that I was perfectly fine, man I have never been so surprised/happy to be alive.

Well that was until I remembered that my car was getting serviced and that I had borrowed my mothers doh

RE: whats a good hunting bow for pigs

I think an interesting point for all those against hunting is the positive benefits that it has for the environment and for endangered species in general.

Take a look at Africa, if it wasn't for hunters then they never would have created all the game parks or the breeding programs that have bought so many species back from almost non existent to thriving.

In America if it wasn't for hunters then most of their Deer and many other species would be gone (Bison, Wolves etc)but through effective game management, their tag system and habitat regeneration payed for by hunting groups their thriving again.

Here in Australia, in VIC in particularly years ago when the government and so called environment groups wanted to dam many of the swamps for water storage, but hunters blocked it and bought the swamps, built duck breeding areas and put large amounts of money into re generation projects and saved vast amounts of vital habitat.

It's easy to sit at home and hate something out of personal emotional principles and in this world we do need people to do that to help offset the damage caused by greed, but we do need a balance. Their is always another side of the coin and the best that we can do as a community is work together to find a happy medium where we can all agree to disagree but these things must be dealt with by both logic and facts rather then by both sides standing on opposite sides of the fence shouting at each other, as that achieves nothing constructive.

RE: whats a good hunting bow for pigs

I used to use a 45lb compound bow when I was a kid for Goats and Deer and found it about as low powered as I would like but I did use very heavy broad heads, the trick is practice practice practice as you do need to be very accurate and to keep the range to as close as you can get (usually 25yards or so)
