RE: 75% OF PROFILES/PICS ARE PROBALY FAKE !! WHAT YOU THINK ABOUT THIS CARNIVAL MASKED BALL ??

What are you talking about, BrunetteOkie? You are very pretty with an absolutely genuine, gorgeous smile! You look very fun and open to new people and experiences. But, honey, lose the funeral pic! Wow! LOL!

RE: Quantum .............. Physics.......

<Is it only a theory, a figment of someone's imagination?>

in science, "theory" is a pretty robust concept. I think the term you mean to say is "hypothesis" which is basically an educated hunch in need of data to support it. With enough data and statistical analysis a hypothesis can become a theory, which basically means it is a concept that is probably true and is therefore a pretty strong statement about reality.

RE: Women showing interest but not following anything up.

You're not ugly, and I don't know what "minging" means (you probably don't know what "noodling" means to an Okie, either). I went to your profile and looked at the pix. Maybe if you smiled?!?

And I quote, "...I suffer from social anxiety, and still live at home (although I have lived away from home before), I also don't have much experience with women..." Honey, way TMI for a profile. Rather than social anxiety, which I am much familiar with but sounds like a major mental illness, substitute "shyness". Shy guys are cute, anxious guys are scary (anxiety is contagious as I'm sure you've experienced, so who wants to be around THAT?) Also eliminate the verb "suffer" from your vocabulary. No one (sane, anyway) likes a martyr.

You don't have to air all your dirty laundry, unless you are truly trying to sabotage yourself, as I truly think you are. Don't disclose living at home still. No one's business if you do, so don't even go there. Also no one's business that you don't have much experience with women. That is a liability; a spin on it to make it an asset would be to say something about you are a one-woman man and extremely loyal. You don't have to say that it is because you have no other option! (LOL, j.k!)

RE: What do women really want??

Don't know the person anymore? Sometimes people change (or more correctly people almost always change over time). In the case of my 20+ yr marriage, my exhusband didn't seem to change AT ALL. He still thought and behaved like the college student I married, and remained in the same entry level position he held straight out of college, while I went on to earn two degrees and become involved in the community, and hopefully develop into a more complex interesting person than I was in college.

I know, this is turning into a TMI, but I guess my point is that some people want you to stay "just the way you are" and others want you to grow and develop (but never, ever GROW UP!) (OK, there are probably those who want you to grow up, too. I'd avoid them...)

This time around I'm looking for someone who is complex and continually growing. THAT will keep me interested.

Some other woman will LOVE to find my ex-husband and know that he is what he is, and remain so indefinitely. Dif'rent folks for dif'rent folks...

RE: what type of life do you live ? tell us about your life or the life you want to share with someone !

Interesting thread--I'm looking forward to hearing about such diverse people in such diverse places!

I teach Uni. professor and this week has been about coming back to office reality after a summer spent going to powwows, sweat lodges, and even a three day Native American traditional dance--complete with fasting (food & water) and SILENCE throughout the three days. It was indescribable.

I've also spent my summer learning Tarot. I did my first reading of someone else this past weekend. applause

Type of person to suit me? Someone who thinks going to sweat lodges when it's 90s-100s degree F outside is enjoyable! In other words, I'm a lost cause! dunno

RE: Dogs or cats

Neither. I prefer parrots. Don't tell either of my cats or my dogs, though.
