RE: I just realized...Im getting old.....

Ah being old lol..I remember 45's were huge back in the 60's along with albums..Color tv I did not have until I was 22.. Garbage was left by the dumwaiter in the hall of the building I lived in and put in a small compartment and lowered to the basement to be placed in garbage cans. If your car had 40,000 miles on it that was the time to start looking for another car. No terrorists, great music, everything was cheaper but not cleaner than it is today. Whales were almost hunted to extinction. Zoos were prisons for animals not habitats like todays zoos are. No cell phones, pc's, ipods, 8 tracks, casettes, no vhs, no cd or dvd's. Technology was terrible but we didn't know it..But one thing about it all honstly---> In many ways yesterday was better than today.

RE: Too young?

It is up to the person making that choice...That is their right and no one can deny their right to happiness no matter what their hang ups are in life.. People find happiness and should be left alone and not be bothered by ignorant single minded people...thumbs up

RE: If you are dating someone on this site why don't you say who it is?

I think for many reasons. Maybe they are not serious. Maybe they are players. Hard to say really.

I date frequently but not from this site yet. If I did find someone off this site I would state that fact if it became a relationship. Some people who think they have someone just because they live together really don't. If they did they would not be on a site like this now would they? They are getting used and have not figured it out yet. Some people like fantasy and play it good on internet sites like this one also. It's a lot of things and to try to put your finger on it is impossible I would think.

1/2 of Adults Cannot Swim

Swimming is usually associated with fun and enjoyment. We are naturally drawn to water. But the sad fact is that 49% of all adults in the United States cannot swim. 39% cannot put their heads below the waterline and 64% are afraid of oceans and lakes. To not know how to swim is depriving yourself of a great day outside. Some people can doggie paddle but that is not enough in case a loved one or friend is in need of being helped in a water emergency.

This is a staggering amount of people. Swimming is a wonderful exercise that uses 100% of the muscles in your body. It refreshes you greatly. It is for all ages and a prudent idea for all parents to have their children taught how to swim if they cannot teach them themselves.

When you know how to swim it opens many doors to you that include ; water skiing, surfing, scuba diving, snorkeling to name just a sample few.

If you don't know how to swim and are interested I urge you to look in a newspaper or yellow pages or se your community services department. There are many locations in all state that tech adults and children to learn not only how to swim but advanced lessons such as water survival training.

Don't let another summer slip by without looking into learning how to swim. It will open up your life to many exciting and refreshing moments.

RE: What was your most embarrasing moment ever?

Back in 1972 I was at my cousins wedding and at the time I was in the Marines. I was asked to dance with this womans daughter who was obviously pregnant and politely refused. But her mother insisted and being I didn't want to upset anyone I agreed to dance with this girl. Well we were on the dance floor a minute or two at most and she suddenly slipped and fell flat on her back. It was very embarrasing to me and I can imagine for that poor pregnant woman.

RE: thin vs. heavy

One additional reply here. I don't look at any other woman except full figured women. Although I am tall and thin I only like full figured. Thin women just don't look attractive to me as opposed to full figured women do.blushing

RE: thin vs. heavy

A full figured women is far more exciting than any thin woman could ever be in my opinion. I love the figure and they represent a real woman to me. thumbs up
