My result - Yesterday 16h00 I uploaded a profile this profile has currently 25 favorites added already.... (guys)
My profile on another site only has two favorites after 2 weeks. (women)
The profile was uploaded with lots of spelling mistakes and the photo used was a generic one. Not bad looking. My conclusion,,,, As a guy dating online you got to have the looks to stand a chance. Women get the pick of the crop so to say.
Hi broadwaybabe I think my profile in general wouldn't be the concern. My main point I am trying to make, is I could write a beautiful letter as an approach and as soon as someone sees the picture , well thats lights out for you.
If I upload a picture of a (good looking woman) the hits would be massive compared to a guy photo. even if the woman said extremely rude comments ... I am sure I can prove this point but I don't want to upset anyone. Thanks for all your imput
I have been giving this topic a lot of thought. I am not going to take a shot at the ladies out there. But most will say nah looks don't count, personality humor etc does.
My reasoning for why I say this is when I send an email to a seemingly nice girl, she wont reply. as I am sure the photo scare her off. I work in marketing so i'm positive the letters I send are not far off.
If I didn't have a photo attached then the interest level would still be there and she would be interested in knowing me and aiming to get the photo ....
Your thoughts on this topic (ladies and gents alike) My thoughts are yes 100% they do count. On internet dating that is.
Hi cheerygirl I agree with you ,, "it not you its me line". If its not you theres sure is something wrong with me.
The only way I say it is I don't think we gel together. and then leave it at that, if its mutual then stay friends and network with each other to meet new people.
Hi All, this is my first post I have to say online makes it easier to find a match you want .... eg looks and generally what they say about themselves.
The only other quick fire way of meeting people is through your friends and asking them to set you up for a few blind dates... doesn't work most of the time though cause you meet the wrong types mostly.
I own my own business and it takes to much out of you to go pubbing and hunting over the weekend.
Definitely the conversation of past relationships ... also what Omurchu said about the cell phone,,,, mine is turned off sneakily when my date arrives.
Do looks count !!
