who were the pioneers of grunge?

well you know i have to get my computer back and then i will do it this is my friends laptop...lol because mine is in the shop i just called him and asked if i can put it on here and .lol he said absolutly not so i'll have to wait but thanks all the same ..its going to be a week or so ..so maybe i can get intouch with you then i'm sure i will see you in the fourms..

cool thats pretty much what i was saying so really who would you say was the pioneers of grunge then if i asked you out right just give the name of the band that you think was the pioneer of grunge ..and thanks for the info because i really never knew that the term grunge was used way back then..now i can give a little trivia to my friends..

those bands were commonly refered to as garage bands if i'm not mistaken and yeah mark arm may have said that in 81 but it wasen't popularized until at least 91 and i think he just was talking about his music and really didn't know wht he was saying when he said grunge ...and i know music too but i wasen't trying to make an argument i was just giving a compliment..when i said wow you know your music huh...

see but bleach from nirvana came out in 1989 and im not sure it would be called grunge i would rather call it punk rock.. but yeah i was listening to soundgarden since the 80's also

I would say alice in chains because faceless came out in 1990 1 year before nirvana's never mind 1991 but i still get arguments over this question...

just want to say no argument but trust me Led Zeppelin had way more hits than you think ...really alls I have to say is listen to the radio and everyother song is a zeppelin song.i'll name a few hits.. .. whole lotta love ...stairway to heaven....blackdog....kashmir.....trampled under foot... all of my love.....well trust me I can name more hits,....but i will be waiting to hear Black sabbath's HITS ,,,,...HITS now not just songs ... lol
