For first dates I have a very simple rule, If I invite you out I expect to pay, if you invite me out I expect you to pay. I always travel with money in case I need or want to pay for something. But whether there is a second date would be determined by whether we got along and had an enjoyable time together not by who paid the bill.

Only poor people talk about money not bringing happines. No one really cares if you have money or not. Women no longer need men to look after them, we work our own money and many women make a lot more than most men.
Life is what you make it. If you contact women first instead of waiting for them to chase you your experience will be more fulfilling. A lot of women don't contact men, they like for men to write to them first.
Try being proactive and stop complaining it is not an attractive quality
